Post:  Outreach Support Worker
Location: Redcar and Cleveland, Stockton and Middlesbrough
Hours:  As and when required (this will include: days, evenings, weekends and school holidays)
Salary: £9.30 per hour             Closing Date: 26th April 2021

The Role is:
To provide a high standard of support to Children and Young People who may have learning disabilities, autism and behavior’s that challenge. The ideal candidate must have a passion for supporting Children and Young People to lead a fulfilling life and enable them to reach their full potential.  You must be able to build and maintain good working relationships with the young people, parents/carers and other professionals which should be built on trust and respect.  You should be confident in providing 1:1 support as well as been able to work as part of a team to encourage and empower the young people we support to become more independent and involved in their local community.  Full Driving License essential and over the age of 18 (6 months experience of working with children and young people/adults with learning disabilities, autism or behavior’s that challenge.

You will need to be:
Person Centered, caring, compassionate, reliable and be able to encourage Young People to reach their full potential. You should be able to display competence in the knowledge and understanding of Positive Behavioural Support as well as monitor and review data related to behaviour, you will be able to effectively communicate with the young people, the staff team, with family/carers and other agencies.   You will be courageous and speak up if you have any concerns, have personal strengths and vision to innovate and embrace new ways of working and be able to demonstrate commitment to the young people we support.  You should be consistent in your approach and follow support plans and risk assessments.  You will possess numeracy and literacy at level 2 and have a willingness to work towards a Care Diploma 3 in Health and Social Care. You will be fully conversant in, and work fulfilling the PIPS values and ethos. Hours:  16 hour contract (hours are negotiable), as and required
