Do you have what it takes to support a young person to grow, develop and get the most out of life? Are you able to support someone during times of significant mental health distress?
We are looking to employ Support Workers to support a female with a diagnosis of Emotionally Unstable Personality Disorder and Bipolar Affective Disorder. She is currently being supported on a 4:1 basis. Due to the needs of the individual we are ideally looking to recruit someone with work experience within mental health, but this is not essential.
The role involves supporting a young person to live in her own home, this includes supporting the individual to attend education, shopping and participate in activities such as bowling, meals out. The role can be challenging at times, staff will receive extensive training around borderline personality disorder training, positive behavioural support and Positive Approaches to Conflict Resolutions.
We are looking for people with the right values and attitude, experience support people is not essential as we provide extensive training and supervision. We would welcome informal enquiries, please do not hesitate to contact Patricia Barry on 0330 355 7477 .
