Post: Support Worker Location: Stockton Hours: Full Time (37.5 hours) or Part Time (24 hours)
Salary: £9.30 per hour Closing Date: 25th September 2020
Do you have what it takes to support a young person to grow, develop and get the most out of life? Are you able to support someone during times of significant mental health distress?
We are looking to employ Support Workers to support a female with a diagnosis of Emotionally Unstable Personality Disorder and Bipolar Affective Disorder. She is currently being supported on a 4:1 basis. Due to the needs of the individual we are ideally looking to recruit someone with work experience within mental health, but this is not essential.
This role involves supporting a young adult to live in her own home, this includes supporting the individual to lead a fulfilling life and work towards her goals and aspirations, promoting independence and choice. Activities may include attending education, music, art and crafts, shopping, bowling and meals out. The role can be challenging at times, staff will receive extensive training around borderline personality disorder, positive behavioural support and positive approaches to conflict resolutions.
We are looking for people with the right values and attitudes, experience is not essential.
