      PIPS referrals can be made by the Local Authority, Integrated Care Board (ICB) or jointly.

      Co-production is at the Heart of PIPS

      • The Moving Forward Group – Experts by experience meet fortnightly.  The group is facilitated by Skills for People.
      • The group play an important role within our quality meetings this includes looking at the quality of support provided by PIPS.
      • The group have helped develop the training plan and deliver training.
      • The group have also been involved in the development of PIPS policies.
      • The work and input the group provide is invaluable to PIPS.

      Here’s what the CQC had to say about PIPS:

      Staff supported people to have the maximum possible independence, choice and control over their own lives. Staff focused on people’s strengths and promoted what they could do, so people had a fulfilling and meaningful everyday life. Staff supported people to make decisions following best practice in decision-making. Staff communicated with people in ways that met their needs.

      Individual PBS plans were in place and were being developed further. Staff were knowledgeable about people’s needs and were actively involved in developing the PBS plans.
